To all of my avid readers,
You may have noticed that I have not blogged in quite a long time. And that lately when I do blog it is few and far between. I typically try to blog twice to three times a week, but my life seems to have taken a new swing since August. My job has kept me away from my home and my loved ones more than I would like it to. Waking at 5:00am each morning and returning home from work on average about 6:30pm; I have become a walking zombie. I lack energy, I crave chocolate, and I fall asleep on my couch at 8:30pm.
Basically, I count down the hours and days until I get to be at home. I have become obsessed with three songs, and they are quite ironic:
- Dog Days Are Over, Florence and the Machine
- New Low, Middle Class Rut
- Cheers (Drink to That), Rihanna
On my way home from work each evening and when heading out for a fun-filled weekend; I blast these songs in my car to melt away the stress, the anxiety, and pure misery! This is ironic because the lyrics to all of these songs are about living for the weekend and good times. I did not pick these songs on purpose; they just happen to describe my feelings exactly. I hope that my predicament will soon change and that I can be successful and happy in a profession that satisfies me and makes me want to go to work each day.
So how do I escape these days? It is simple really…

With these things occupying my evenings and weekends I have survived the past few weeks. And one day very, very soon I will have the job of my dreams; writing hopefully! Because…
