My poor little Cheap-Vine Wine Series has been on a hiatus lately, but I have been getting my fair share of the luscious nectar. Of the many wines I have had the luxury of enjoying in the past few months one of my favorites was the Fleur Petite Sirah.
Fleur Petite Sirah
2008
North Coast
This light beautiful Petite Sirah is perfect for the hot summer months because is isn’t a heavy wine. The intense notes of berry that come across in the nose are much more subtle on your palate. A hint of spice lingers, making it the perfect component to counterbalance the tart berries. If you are looking for a good summer BBQ wine, this is the one to get! My only regret is that the wine is now gone and I wish I had another bottle…

Sounds like a good wine. Will have to try.
